The Pitt Season 3 has officially begun, and it's impossible for my mind not to drift back to August 25, 2025—the day I first walked onto this production without really knowing anything about it.

I had arrived in Los Angeles at the beginning of August. I didn't know the show, and as the days went by, my budget kept shrinking. I had nowhere to stay, couldn't find work on any production, and couldn't even land a job outside the industry. Then a friend told me about an agency he used to work with before moving to Orlando, so I figured, why not? I applied.

Every single day felt like another obstacle. Their standards were incredibly high. Even getting my official photos approved turned into a whole thing. Max was the one who finally made it happen. One day he simply said, "Come over to my place. I'll take them." And me? I didn't think twice. I jumped on the train to Hollywood.

It all happened pretty fast. We took the photos, I submitted everything, and they finally approved me.

Next thing I knew, I got what they call a rush call. I said yes because, honestly, I didn't have much of a choice.

And then my first day came.

I was nervous. I was happy. For the first time, I was walking into one of the studios that had inspired me for years to keep chasing this career. Not like the first time I visited years ago, trying to get into NYFA, but this time as someone who actually belonged there. A background actor.

And honestly... I was just happy.

That morning my imagination went everywhere. I even convinced myself that someone would notice me, give me a speaking role, and my whole life would change.

There I was... already flying way beyond the stars.

Anyway...

Season 2 became this constant back and forth of emotions, learning, challenges, adjusting to a completely different reality, meeting people from everywhere, making mistakes, stepping outside my comfort zone... and even falling for someone.

It had been forever.

I honestly hadn't felt love like that since my relationship with Edilson ended back in 2015.

The funny thing is, the very first time I saw him, I felt something weird running through my whole body. I couldn't explain it. But I never imagined that the little voice behind me one morning on the The Pitt set would, months later, become someone I still can't get out of my head.

And believe me... I've tried.

Even with mountain rituals.

Still nothing.

But that's another story.

On June 18, I got called in for the Season 3 fitting.

I loved the wardrobe.

This season takes place during winter, and since I'm always cold, wearing all those layers actually feels pretty nice.

Season 2 was all about heat, sweat, summer, the Fourth of July...

I was lucky enough to start in August and stay until the very end, in January 2026, playing one of the paramedics in the Ambulance Bay—or the "Ambo Bay," as everybody calls it.

Now we're back for another season, and they called me again.

Some of my friends decided not to return, but I said yes.

I still want to learn.

I still want to meet more people in this industry.

And I still carry that hope that someday I'll meet someone willing to give me a hand so I can make the jump into directing bigger productions.

That's what brought me to Los Angeles in the first place.

One day it'll happen.

For now... I wait.

The first day of Season 3 felt strange.

Back in Season 2, everyone already felt like family. Like a regular job. Like a way of life.

Now we only had two paramedics.

Ben, my partner from last season, apparently decided not to come back. He was always quiet. Barely talked to anyone—not even me—and we spent the whole previous season sharing stretchers and patients together.

I hope he's doing well.

Yesterday, June 23, was my first call back.

It felt weird.

Almost everybody in the BG group was new.

Around ninety percent of the crew is still the same, but the atmosphere feels completely different.

These letters are my way of documenting this journey.

A way of remembering how incredible last season was.

Let's see where this one takes me.

On Tuesday we filmed a few scenes bringing in a patient on a stretcher with my new partner, an English woman. I think she used to be in the military... or at least that's what I understood.

The guy I like, according to something I read in a group chat, won't be coming back this season.

And somehow, the moment I walked onto set, I could see him everywhere.

Laughing.

Talking.

And I could still feel that last kiss on the cheek I gave him before we said goodbye, on his final day filming the show.

I get it.

He's an actor who grew up around here.

He has to keep moving forward.

He has to chase bigger things.

Still...

I miss him.

I missed him a lot.

Today's little piece of history: Ecuador beat Germany 2–1 and advanced to the Round of 32 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Empezó The Pitt S3 y es imposible que mi mente no navegue por el 25 de agosto de 2025, cuando llegué por primera vez a esta producción sin conocerla.

Había llegado a Los Ángeles a principios de agosto. A la serie no la conocía y, ya pasados los días desde mi arribo, mientras se me acababa el presupuesto, no tenía dónde quedarme, no conseguía trabajo en ninguna producción ni fuera de la industria. Entonces un amigo me habló de una agencia con la que él trabajaba antes de mudarse a Orlando, así que decidí aplicar.

Cada día era un reto, pues los requerimientos eran de un nivel altísimo. Incluso las fotos oficiales para ellos me costaron mucho. Max fue el encargado de que finalmente las aprobaran. Un día simplemente me dijo que fuera a su casa, que él me las hacía, y yo, ni corto ni perezoso, me lancé a Hollywood. Y bueno, fue rápido: sacamos el material, lo inscribí y finalmente me las aceptaron.

Paso siguiente, un llamado a modo rush call, como le dicen. Lo acepté, pues no me quedaba de otra. Y llegó mi primer día. Estaba muy nervioso y feliz. Por primera vez pisaría uno de los estudios que me inspiraban para seguir construyendo mi carrera. No como hace años, cuando lo visité intentando entrar a NYFA, sino ahora como un trabajador, como background actor. Y pues nada, solo feliz.

Esa mañana me imaginé de todo. Incluso que pronto notarían mi presencia y me darían algún personaje con diálogos. Yo, volando más allá de las estrellas...

En fin, toda la segunda temporada fue un ir y venir de emociones, de conocimientos, de retos, de reajustarse a esta nueva realidad, de conocer gente de todos lados, de cometer errores, de salir de la zona de confort, de enfrentar incluso haberme enamorado de alguien. Hacía siglos no me pasaba. Tenía mucho tiempo que no experimentaba esto del amor, así, apasionado, casi que desde que terminé mi relación con Edilson en 2015.

Aunque cuando lo vi por primera vez sentí unas vainas extrañas recorrer todo el cuerpo, jamás imaginé que esa vocecita detrás de mí, en una de mis mañanas grabando The Pitt, unos meses más adelante se convertiría en alguien que hasta hoy no logro sacar de mi mente. Y vaya que lo he intentado muchas veces, hasta con rituales en las montañas, y nada que sale. Pero bueno, ese es otro tema.

El 18 de junio me convocaron al fitting para la tercera temporada de la serie. El traje me encantó. Ahora será en invierno y, bueno, yo que soy friolento, andar con este ropaje me sienta muy bien.

La segunda temporada fue de mucho calor, sudor, verano, 4 de julio... Tuve la fortuna de empezar en agosto y trabajar hasta el final, en enero de 2026, como paramédico del ambulance bay, o ambo bay, como le llaman todos.

Ahora se nos viene una nueva y me han vuelto a convocar. Aunque algunos compañeros desistieron, yo he dicho que sí. Quiero seguir aprendiendo, conociendo gente de la industria. Sigo con la emoción de conocer a alguien que me eche una mano y saltar a dirigir cosas a gran escala, que es lo que he venido a hacer a Los Ángeles. Y pues sí, será realidad un día. Por ahora hay que esperar.

El primer día de esta S3 fue extraño. Ya todos los de S2 se veían como familia, como trabajo fijo, como estilo de vida. Ahora, empezando, solo éramos dos paramédicos. Ben, mi compañero anterior, al parecer dijo que no. Ben era callado y casi no hablaba con nadie, ni conmigo, que compartimos camilla y pacientes durante toda la temporada pasada. Espero que esté bien este actor.

Bueno, ayer 23, que fue el primer día que me llamaron, la pasé raro. Todos, o casi todos, eran nuevos en el grupo de BGs. Del equipo técnico se mantiene un 90 %.

Estas cartas son para documentar mi estadía en este proyecto y recordar la temporada anterior, tan genial. Vamos a ver cómo va todo. Les mantendré al tanto.

El martes grabamos unas escenas entrando un paciente en camilla con esta nueva compañera, una mujer inglesa. Fue militar, creo, o algo así entendí.

El chico que me gusta, según leí en un chat, no se va a comprometer en esta ocasión. Fue solo llegar al set y verlo por todos lados; verlo riendo, verlo hablando y sintiéndolo en el último beso en la mejilla que le di antes de despedirnos, cuando grabó por última vez con la serie.

Lo entiendo. Es actor, nacido por estas tierras. Debe buscar más para su carrera. Yo lo extraño. Lo extrañé mucho.

Hoy, en la historia: Ecuador le gana a Alemania 2 a 1 y pasa a los dieciseisavos de final en la FIFA World Cup 2026.
